tala has experience in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents struggling with mood, emotion regulation, trauma, attachment, interpersonal conflict, and life transitions. tala has a passion in working with neurodivergent children and families, allowing them a safe space to show up exactly as they are. tala utilizes an integrative approach anchored in the child and therapist relationship. she is a national board certified counselor and licensed professional counselor in Virginia and Texas. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin, and completed her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The George Washington University. tala is working towards becoming a registered play therapist. as a child of immigrants, tala is familiar with the complexity of first generation experiences and honors culture in the space.
